Christmas Prayers 2015

Lord Jesus, born in a stable because there was no room for you.
Help us to find room in our hearts for you this Christmas.
We think of all those who are poor and without support,
especially those who are homeless.

Lord Jesus, your family was persecuted at the time of your birth and fled
to save your life from the evil intentions of a powerful ruler.
We are mindful of so many disaplced people, so many who
have been forced to leave their own homes, because of threats
to their lives and the lives of their familes.

Lord Jesus, you lived a very ordianry life
you knew the ups and down of family life
when family failed to understand you
you worked with your hands as a carpenter
and knew the difficulties of making ends meet
You suffered the pain of bereavement and
at times felt lonely and misunderstood.
Help us to know that we can turn to you
as a Saviour who understands our weakness.

Help us like you to learn to trust in our Loving
Heavenely Father and seek his pathway for our
lives in that way that leads to perfect fulfillment.

Use us in your loving purpose that we might
bring your blessing to others.

Merciful Father :
accept these prayer for the sake of your Son our Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen.
